I want Station Cash surveys. :(

I tend not to participate in surveys like this, am I the only one? I feel it's just a cheap way for companies to gather info on people. Sure, they must target their demographics and I can understand that, but then again..,

As for the winning probabilities, I'm pretty sure they are really low.

I'm beginning to think that this is creepy, I'm starting to regret it.

i just signed up, wheres mah musac?

you can cancel your account if you want to. Just go to update account info.

Add me to the list of people who have done surveys for other companies with absolutely no issues. There are a LOT of companies that'll pay money for aggregate research like this for market research, and the way to get enough info is usually to offer prizes and money and such to people offering it.

Myeh. I would rather give my opinion through rants and twisted logic instead of checkboxes, thank you.

I'm trusting you, Escapist...

Hmmm... Made an account but I'm a little wary about the ammount of information they are asking for... What the hell does my annual pretax income have to do with games?!? Think I'm gonna pass.

GamesB2:
I will sign up as soon as my internet loads -_-

They seem to be doing work on the lines around here as I currently have 0.20 download speed.

I thought you lived near me for a moment, my Internet speed is making me want to kick puppies.
Damn you Hull and your one crappy service provider!

OT: I'll do it, just don't take my soul D< I'll probably do it tomorrow when the Interwebs should work a little better. Although I'd never actually win something, my luck is so. so bad.

oranger:
People, online surveys = Data mining. The title "survey" is misleading because it is most definitely -not- anonymous. Even a non-profit like the Themis group (the company behind The Escapist) has some veeery shady data acquisition policies. And that's considered normal.

That pretty much sums up what I think too. When it's too good to be true, that's because it IS too good to be true!

VGM site broke or is it just me?

I signed up and am gonna wait for my check for .10 and my free CD now.

When a survey is filled out, does it show up on our account instantly, or does it take time?

I'm not saying this is a scam, but if it were a scam it would go something like this:

They ask you to fill out "personal information" forms to "qualify" you for the surveys that supposedly pay. Miraculously after filling out 20 pages of intrusive questions you don't qualify for any surveys. Company harvests your personal information and "doesn't rent, sell or share" except with "qualified business partners (spammers).

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

It gives them an idea on the average income etc, no point offering games for $100 USD if people cant afford them for more then $20 USD for example.

I'm broke and have no job, sign me up!

strum4h:
sounds good. I never thought people valued my opinion.

they don't. they're just really after your money. But... i guess... your opinion is somewhat of a collateral info.

signed up, cant wait to do some.

Hmmm, free stuff, chance to win a $500 prize pack, and a game music cd? Where do I sign? :)

The Cheezy One:
very american orientated, but thats ok
on the console section, DS is on 3 times!

ya gameboy ds twice ad the third is nintendo ds...whats a gameboy ds? presumably they mean the sp advanced =S

So I signed up and 100% completed the profiles. Giving a lot of information.

No profiles available so far and no music. I'm not saying it's a scam, I'm just suggesting that some instant verification that this thing does what it says would be nice.

I've sent over an email with your questions attached. I will post all the answers once I get them for you.

So uhh, where's my free music? I signed up, filled out my profile, and I haven't seen note #1.

Edit:

ohh, well thanks for being a helpful ninja.

Being out of work, this looked like a great deal, but having filled our 100% of the info, and not having qualified for anything makes me worry...give it a day or two then delete account, if nothing comes up.

Hmm, I joined and stuff, but now the sites not working after I went to edit account info...

Hell, I care not wether or not some capitalist knows my personal data, so a free CD and possibly more is enough to make me fill out their forms.

Speaking of the CD, though, how do I get that?

My profile is now 100%, I'm kinda worried about it now though.

Alright Escapist, I'm trusting you, this better not screw me over in any shape or form.

I too have not qualified for anything, but that's not surprising since all their questions are only applicable to Americans.

Although they say it doesn't matter where you live, they only seem interested in people who use American products and companies, in America.

I've got a feeling that all my true answers of "other", "not applicable" and "none of the above" aren't going be looked upon too favourably when it comes to offering surveys, and by extension the chance to get free stuff.

Well, I signed in, and completed half of my profile. Let's see if I get buttfucked with a porcupine...

My scam senses are tingling.

Best not be shitting us spinwhiz.

The Escapist would not partner up with someone if they weren't 100% legit and we sure as heck wouldn't then tell our community about it.

This is the real deal folks, enjoy!

Not for nothing but my windows is going Weeee-ooo Weee-ooo Reported scam site.
Are you really 100% on this?

What the hell, it can't hurt. It's probably legit if the Escapist is teaming up with it.

I'm wondering if there's some way to link accounts...

I only signed up because I trust the escapist, so this is on you.
