SnowBurst: thts like saying the worst is pongs engine...
Then don't say he picked the worst engine when it was basically the only engine, that worked.
daw cute how you dno anything about game engines if you say thats the only one thatd work when you could make a game 10 times better with even skyrims creativity engine for crying out loud
Does Skyrims engine support Multiplayer for 100 and more people? No? Then NO, IT WOULD NOT HAVE WORKED! Heck, I don't even think that Skyrims engine has any sort of netcode in the first place.
So it's a Lay Z Day Z, then? At least the game has been pulled from the service. All someone had to do was pull a Valve!
I'll be here all weekend, folks!
dayz is the lazyest peice of shit ive ever seen they cant even iron out critical game ruining bugs like retarded ai movements with bohemia behind him glad i never paid for tht crap
You mean bugs that were already addressed if not fixed entirely? I too am glad that no one paid for DayZ. Except maybe some fools who thought you actually needed to pay for it and "bought" it off some shady website.
I can't believe that Foolproof was suspended for his comments. Since when are you unable to criticize the articles and content on this site? He didn't use any personal attacks and I thought his comment was funny.
I do enjoy this comic more often than not though, so I do disagree with his premise. Still, seems to be a clear case of over-moderation.

i meant taking the bugs out -_- n theres way more engines thatll run 100+ players with no game ruining bugs like planetside 2's etc

i mean bugs like tht retarded run animation that zombies have which make them impossible to kill untill theyre stopped infront of u which should have been fixed before release the game isnt even worthy of the title alpha its pre alpha at best practically just a proof of concept... rocket just piled on more features without fixing the ones allready there until it became a complete mess

PlanetSide 2 is not modable and Sony probably wouldn't give out the Engine to some random guys for a mod. Try again.

I wouldn't so much call that a bug as a limitation of the game engine. I think that's the problem anyway, I can't actually remember the reason Rocket gave to say why zombies run like that. Honestly I think hackers are their biggest problem right now. They've finally more or less fixed the problem of people alt+f4ing out of combat. Item duping and converting clip types for ulimited ammo have been fixed too. As to it's stage in development I'd say it's in alpha; the software is being tested and the game feature is not yet complete. Most stability problems are problems with the server rather than problems with the client. As long as their stand-alone title is stable and free from hackers (or as free as you can get) I'll proobably play it.

Also planetside 2 was not out when they began developing Day Z, so using it would be fairly difficult.

Your pointing to a Bethesda game as the hallmark of stability? Did you get a magical different copy of Skyrim that nobody else in the world got?
During the Steam-Release, there were only 50-player-servers. Fact, recorded and pointed out countless times. For example, seen here, and yet, the whole time it said "up to 100".

When they released the update, they went from only 70 cap servers to both 50 and 100 cap. There are a lot of other problems with the game and advertising on Steam, but this was not one of them. There was a lot of lying and misconceptions going on in Reddit and other places.

Nice, that you ignore THE CLEAR VIDEO, THAT SHOWS NOTHING BUT 50-SLOT-SERVERS!
I wouldn't call it defeat at all. Made me remember a cabaretist who said about a politician "i have not yet found any better way to offend her but by quoting her word for word". Totaly legit.
By that

yes indeed :)
Though have to say

i absolutely go along with this! Even if it was as constructive as most comments ever are, i see no reason at all to suspend him for expressing his opinion like this, not even using any bad language. There are much worse things to say (in general) and much worse has been said in these forums without ever being punished. I don't see how this suspension is rightous in any way!. As long as there is no proper explanation, which is not given by "been suspended for this comment", i think the suspended deserves an apology. I still like this site but there are more and more things kinda getting on my nerves (more about structure, not about content).

Just another anti-WarZ video had the cap filter on. I have posted my video showing both types of servers.

It doesn't have a cap filter on dude, when WarZ was released, it promised servers with up to 100 players, the max was 50, as shown in the video. They have released an update, but that does not change the fact that they blatantly fucking lied. People are pissed because they were lied to, they were told on launch that the game could support 100 player servers, but the game couldn't until it finally released an update.
When exaggeration is insufficient, it's time to go the other way.
That's why I want to make an anime parody where the lead is a moderately talented guy with slightly low self-esteem and a tendency to trip (without falling into anybody), with his two friends who are 1) sometimes grumpy but still nice and 2) quiet but friendly.

When WarZ was released in October the cap was 30. Then it went to 50. Then it went to 70. That when the foundation release hit and it split the Servers into 50 and 100. I have posted the video of me playing on the 100 man servers right after the foundation release came out, there not much more I can do to prove you wrong.
All the reviews out for the game are condemning it to hell. The highest official score the game got on a prominent gaming website was a half star/ out of 5. It is quite hilarious.
I've been following the story of this game after its release and what a long, funny, and quite pitiful it is. The publisher is bad and they should feel bad. (OVERUSED MEME AWAY!!!!!)
Scrumpmonkey: You should see the other projects this guy has been involved in. He's the king of terrible, unfinished products.
"Sergey Titov The Producer/Programmer for Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing."
Huuuurrr...
Yeah, this is the reason I've avoided this game like the fucking plague. This guy made Big Rigs. Fucking Big Rigs. I'm normally not the type of guy who tells people how to spend their money, but listen, if you buy from the dude who made Big Rigs, then you're gonna have a bad time and you really should just not buy from him.
Wow Foolproof got suspended for that post that was way out of... I mean i totally think all the content here is awesome and support every moderator on this site. You are all awesome.
WarZ is really tragic game I was hoping for it. It could be great game, instead... Listen guys that title was definitely still in progress All these features would most probably come in next few months (bigger maps, skills, higher player cap, etc.) If only they marked it as Beta and gave discount for people who bought it (worked gloriously for Minecraft) I'm sad now :(
why are they not being sued for false advertising? seems like a pretty clear case of straight up lieing to every one
For some bizarre reason gaming seems to be exempt from basic consumer rights. Something to do with being "entitled" if you expect to get what you were promised from the people selling the game to you.

Sergey Titov: Max players -- I'm not sure why this is even an issue. [The] text clearly stated "up to 100 players." And 50 players [which] we have right now -- is what our players -- our community feels is comfortable level for them to play. We had it at 40, we've raised it to 70, and after that we've asked our players, "What you want this number to be for Colorado map?" Over 90,000 players took [the] survey and most of them said -- 50. This is why this number is set to 50 right now.
so what was stated on the steampage clearly was a lie. Also all that skill tree stuff etc.
It has to be said though that they patched it and now made some 100-slot server available. Was still a lie in the beginning.

no excuse for letting company's get away with lieing and theft
least the game was yanked off steam and people are getting refunds, still doesn't make it ok though.

I thought that was Bethesda, yet they still some how have so many fanbois defending them... weird huh?
Zing!
Wait, that isn't zing-worthy? That's actually lame?
Yeah, it's lame.
Okay, then.
BakedZnake, there's such a thing as people having different tastes. Some people will inexplicably like The War Z, others apparently like Bethesda's output (I do), and others don't.
That's all. No need to get snarky and vaguely insulting over it.
