Sons of the Forest Release Date Delayed by Just Five More Months

Endnight Games has again delayed Sons of the Forest and will now launch its survival sequel for PC in October 2022. Endnight had previously set a release date of May 20 but now realizes that timeline was “overly ambitious.” It’s a five-month delay that will likely result in a better final product.

“To be able to deliver our vision of the next step in survival games, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 2022,” Endnight Games stated.

So far, the developer has promised a sequel that lives up to the high bar set by its 2018 first-person survival game, The Forest. However, this isn’t the first time Sons of the Forest has been delayed. The survival game was originally set to arrive sometime in 2021 until the need for more development time saw it pushed to 2022. It’s been a long wait since Sons of the Forest was announced in 2019, so let’s hope today’s delay is its last.
