Sony Will ‘Explore’ Bringing More PlayStation Exclusives to PC

Sony is open to bringing more PlayStation exclusives to PC after all, it has expressed in a recently released corporate report. No specific details were revealed, but it’s now possible more first-party titles could come to PC following the recent port of Horizon Zero Dawn.

“We will explore expanding our first-party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability,” Sony stated of the company’s strategic direction.

Unlike Microsoft’s first-party offerings that have found their way swiftly to PC and sometimes even to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation exclusives are another story. The announcement of the Horizon Zero Dawn port surprised many, and it seems the Guerrilla Games title won’t be the last to come to a new platform. Though Sony is now more open to porting its first-party titles eventually, the company says it will remain committed to PlayStation consoles.

Horizon Zero Dawn launched on PC earlier this month, bringing new features along with it. However, some players have been finding technical problems in this new version of the game. Whether its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, will eventually make the jump to PC after launching on PlayStation 5 remains to be seen.

Death Stranding and Detroit: Become Human also launched first on PlayStation and eventually made their way to PC. Additionally, rumors regarding a Bloodborne remaster or port have been circulating for some time.
