Obsidian launched Pillars of Eternity, an original fantasy RPG, in 2015 for PC players, releasing expansion content and console ports throughout the following few years. Pillars of Eternity – Definitive Edition includes new regions and companions in The White March: Part I and II. Tyranny, on the other hand, is another one of the company’s RPGs that launched in 2016. The title never came to consoles, though the Gold Edition will include bonus content in the form of Bastard’s Wound, Tiers of the Tiers, a Portrait Pack, a soundtrack, and ringtones.

Epic Games has been notably competitive when it comes to its exclusive deals, with another specific example being the decision to launch A Total War Saga: Troy for free for its first day of release. The publisher has nabbed other interesting exclusivity deals, such as Hitman 3 and Oddworld: Soulstorm. Epic Games Store has received its fair share of criticism, but it has been adding features to the platform accordingly.
