The Batman Second Trailer Sets Up Conflict with the Riddler & Penguin

The second full-length trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman is here as part of DC FanDome, and the Robert Pattinson take on the character looks even more brutal than before. Catwoman, the Penguin, and the Riddler all take center stage in the new video, but we also get a good look at a more vulnerable version of Batman. Of course, there’s still plenty of footage of Pattinson beating criminals to a pulp (and getting shot oddly often) too. You can see it all for yourself in the “main” The Batman trailer below.

After a few teases and glimpses at Pattinson’s darker version of the Dark Knight, we got our first The Batman trailer last year as part of the inaugural DC FanDome. That footage introduced a more grounded version of the Caped Crusader’s Gotham City, as well as Jeffrey Wright’s Jim Gordon, and Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman. Now, pending any further delays, The Batman is scheduled to hit audiences on March 4, 2022.

The main The Batman trailer effectively brings DC FanDome 2021 to a close. This year’s presentation was not without other important announcements, though, with reveals for The Flash and Black Adam happening as well. We also got new trailers for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Gotham Knights, and so much more. You can watch the entire DC FanDome presentation below.
