Valve Shares Three New Headcrab-Filled Half-Life: Alyx Gameplay Videos

Valve has published three (yes, three) new trailers for its VR exclusive game, Half-Life: Alyx. Despite the long wait for a new Half-Life game, Valve has been pretty open about sharing this prequel entry’s details, with extended and varied trailers. There is about 10 minutes of footage to watch over in total here, and you can get started with each below.

The aim with these trailers seems to be to put gameplay concerns from fans to rest, as protagonist Alyx can be seen interacting with the environment in ways that have mostly been unseen in the VR space thus far. If you do not have the 10 minutes to spare, just know that Half-Life: Alyx looks like it will be just as dynamic as promised when it was first revealed last November.

Other than the interactivity the environment encourages, the game looks to have just as many creepy, Headcrab-infested locations as past games, too. The second trailer displays some puzzles that take advantage of VR, and the final trailer shows off some fast-paced and creative combat.

If you are still left wanting more on Half-Life: Alyx, read up on the loads of details Valve broke down in a Reddit AMA from January. In some weirder Half-Life-related news, Death Stranding will be getting Valve content — including a Headcrab hat — when it comes to PC in June.

Half-Life: Alyx launches later this month for PC VR hardware on March 23. Until then, make sure you take advantage of the deal the developer has going that makes every game in the series free to play until the launch of its new prequel VR title.
