This announcement comes from a leaked Twitch advertisement. So far, no official confirmation has been communicated by Sony. The PlayStation 5 event was supposed to air last week on June 4 at 4 p.m. ET, but Sony decided to delay it in response to the Black Lives Matter movement and the death of George Floyd.

The showcase will reveal next-gen gameplay on PlayStation 5, and the console is still set to release during the holiday 2020 season. More potential details about the PS5 have been reported recently. PlayStation 4 games that are submitted for certification after July 13 are reportedly required to be compatible with PS5. Additionally, current unreleased first-party titles such as The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima will reportedly be playable on the new console.

A remastered version of Bloodborne is also rumored to be coming to PS5. The remaster is allegedly being handled by Bluepoint Games and QLOC. Sony already has worked with Bluepoint, as the company also handled Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, as well as the PS4 version of Shadow of the Colossus.

Stay tuned for new details on this major event.
