Harmonix continues teasing Rock Band fans with video footage for GameSpot and a soundtrack discovered by IGN.

Harmonix opened up the doors to its Rock Band development studio for IGN, and new details, such as a list of tracks for the game, have been unlocked.

Custom avatars are going to be created with an in-depth character creation system. Users will select their gender, face type, hair, body shape, tattoos, moves and specialized instrument.

Using the power and prestige of MTV allows Harmonix to sign as many top artists as quickly as possible, and they expect to offer over 100 downloadable tracks within the game’s first year.

Known tracks that will be featured include:

  • In Bloom– Nirvana
  • Say it Ain’t So– Weezer
  • Paranoid– Black Sabbath
  • Won’t Get Fooled Again– The Who
  • Mississippi Queen– Mountain
  • Main Offender– The Hives
  • Suffragette City– David Bowie
  • Don’t Fear the Reaper– Blue Oyster Cult
  • Rockaway Beach– The Ramones
  • Welcome to the Jungle– Guns N’ Roses

*The promised footage has been removed from its source due to a request from Viacom, the parent company of MTV.
