Zangief Revealed, Laura Leaked, for Street Fighter V

The Red Cyclone has muscled his way into Street Fighter V, and a newcomer, Laura, has also been leaked.

Lots of Street Fighter news hitting the interwebs today. First up is the news that everyone already expected: Zangief, the best Street Fighter character ever, has been revealed as a returning Street Fighter V character. Appropriately revealed today at the IgroMir event in Russia, you can check out the video showing off all of the Red Cyclone’s new and old moves to the right.

Additionally, Japanese gaming mag Famitsu has leaked some images of another fighter: newcomer “Laura”, who appears to hail from Brazil and share similar characteristics to series mainstay, and fellow Brazilian: Blanka – namely her lightning attacks. From the looks of things, she seems to prefer Brazilian jiu-jitsu for her fighting style. Check her out below:

Zangief and Laura join Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Vega, M. Bison, Birdie, Charlie Nash, Necalli, R. Mika, Rashid and Karin as confirmed fighters for the game. With Zangief’s reveal, it means that there is only one more “classic” Street Fighter character to be added to the roster, at least until Super Turbo Ultra Mega Street Fighter V comes out.
