How to Level Up Quickly in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here's everything you need to know about runes in Elden Ring Nightreign and the best way to farm them.

To level up quickly in Elden Ring Nightreign, you’ll need a lot of runes. While it’s easy to hoard runes while exploring Limveld, you need to do it efficiently.

Unlike the original game, leveling up here is extremely simple. Whenever you’ve acquired enough runes to level up, you’ll see a small blue icon appear beside your level counter. When you see this, head to a Site of Grace to access the level up option. When here, trade your runes for the level upgrade. Based on the class you’re playing, the game automatically assigns stat points to the important stats, rather than requiring you to select them manually.

How to Get More Runes and Level Up Fast in Elden Ring Nightreign

There are different materials and conditions that affect how much runes you’ll get during each expedition runs. Additionally, if you die too much, you’ll be wasting a lot of runes too. Here are a few tips on the best routes to max out your rune gains in Elden Ring Nightreign:

  • Passive Item Bonuses: Items like the Gold-Pickled Foot Fowl temporarily boosts the number of runes that you come across for a short time. Additionally, if you find any glowing gold bushes, then it’s worth interacting with them because they also grant a temporary boost.
  • Relics: Whenever you defeat a boss, you’re likely to come across a relic or two. Some of these relics include buffs that increases the rune drop rate for as long as you have the relic equipped. These relic effects stack, so if your teammates have relics that have similar bonuses, then you’ll receive the same too.
  • Evergaol Encounters: Activating an Evergaol Encounter will ensure that you trigger a field boss fight. However, to do so, you’ll need Stonesword Keys. You can get these keys by defeating mini-bosses scattered across Limveld. When you defeat a boss at an Evergaol Encounter, you receive a guaranteed 20,000 rune drop, so make sure to attempt as many as you can.
  • Open-World Events: Whenever you come across any open-world events, such as the Shifting Earth: The Crater, make sure you participate in them. Not only does this let you upgrade your weapons to legendary rarity without using Smithing Stones, it’s also a good source of runes in Elden Ring Nightreign.

While these are the sources that you need to focus on to max out on how many runes you get, the easiest way is to leave the boss fights and Evergaol Encounters for day two of your expedition. On day one, focus on killing smaller enemies and pick up runes that’ll help you reach level six. From here onwards, you’ll have enough strength to deal with bosses without breaking into a sweat on day two, which will considerably ease up your level up grind in Elden Ring Nightreign.

What Is the Level Cap in Elden Ring Nightreign

The maximum level that you c up to ireach15. Even if you have stockpiled on runes, you cannot go beyond that number. In most cases, reaching level 11 is enough to help you clear all boss fights easily. Here’s how many runes you’ll need to get past every level:
